***Membership dues of $20 are due NLT the end of the February Monthly Meeting***February Monthly Meeting:  Membership dues of $20 are due no later than February Monthly Meeting.  If you did not get your required service and education hours completed for 2019, then to reinstate, the Reinstatement dues are $25.  New Members pay $25 initially to join.

 

Education and Service Hour opportunities for 2020

February 5, OGA Monthly Meeting, 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  Open to the public.

  • Membership dues of $20 are due no later than February Monthly Meeting. If you did not get your required service and education hours completed for 2019, you may pay the Reinstatement dues of $25.  New Members pay $25 initially to join.
  • Speaker – Dr. Andrine Shufran, Coordinator of the Insect Adventure and Associate Extension Specialist, OSU, Stillwater – “The Buzz About Bees”

 

February 3, 11, 20, Will Rogers Garden Work Days

  • 1st Monday, 2d Tuesday and 3rd Thursday of each month, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Volunteers may also work on days other than scheduled days.  If you plan to attend, email Michael Webster, Garden Chair, so Will Rogers’ staff will have work scheduled.  Please sign in and sign out.   Volunteers are not required to work the entire 4 hours but may come and go.  Bring gloves, your choice of tools and water.

 

February 15

  • Deadline for changes to members’ information to 2020 OGA Directory. Send changes to Linda Rose-Evans, Chair

 

March 4, OGA Monthly Meeting, 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Open to the public.

  • Speaker – Allan Storjohann, Nursery and Landscape Professional, Speaker and Writer – “New View with Art in the Landscape”
  • Initial distribution of 2020 OGA Directory

 

March 25, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Learning Lab #1, Will Rogers Gardens Auditorium, Open to members and the public.

  • Speakers and presentations to be announced when available. $5 charge to the public.  Contact Anne Michalski, Continuing Education Chair, for more information.

 

March 27-29, OKC Home and Outdoor Living Show, Oklahoma City Fairgrounds.

  • OGA will have a booth and volunteers may sign up at the OGA Monthly meetings. Check with Community Events Chair, Yvonne Spinella, for more details.

 

April 25, Urban Mission

  • Annual OGA Plant Sale

 

May 6, Will Rogers Park Pavilion, Lunch in the Park

  • Following the meeting, everyone will take their brown bag lunches to the Pavilion at the south side of the park where eight tables are reserved.

 

October 21, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Learning Lab #2, Will Rogers Gardens Auditorium, Open to members and the public.

Service and Education Hours due by December 15, midnight, each year.  Turn them in to Recording Chair or put them in the plastic recording box at the back table at the monthly meetings.
