Please check the Members Calendar for updates
Childrens Programs – Donna Embry
Children’s Program group can always use help in presenting hands on programs to schools, libraries and different children’s groups.
*Garden Committee – Chair Diana Treat
Work at Will Rogers Park, along with other OGA members, on these dates:
- 1st Tuesday from 8 am to Noon
- 2nd Wednesday from 8 am to Noon
- 3rd Thursday from 8 am to Noon
Contact Diana Treat to let her know what date(s) you will be able to help in the garden. Don’t need to commit to the whole four hours but must sign in when working. Contact Diana Treat for more information. Bring your own tools (be sure to mark them), gloves, bug spray, sunscreen and beverages. Water fountain is inside. Wear your name badges. The dates are also in our newsletter calendar and on the member’s only calendar on our website.
*In the winter months, the work is in the greenhouse helping to propagate and grow flowers for spring.
*If you have limited abiiites in the garden you can always help during our gardening days at Will Rogers Gardens. There are several opportunities inside where assistance is needed and the work is light and you don’t have to commit to working all four hours. Work as long as you can. All work at Will Rogers Gardens is very much appreciated.
Garden workday at the Urban Mission, northwest gate, is the fourth Tuesday of each month.
Information Technology (IT) –
If you are a techy person and would like to help setup equipment and trouble shoot at workshops and meetings, help other Oklahoma Gardeners Association members with Power Point presentations, or just learn more about what the Information Technology Committee does, contact Derral Howard, Chair.
***The IT Committee is in need of members to learn how to add, change, delete and maintain the information on our Website.***
